Besides the track or historic road event, the only other place to get up close and personal with a 550 is at an automotive museum, some kind of annual car show or special display. Events such as Techno Classica which is held annually in Essen, Germany draws the range of 550s each year and is usually a good prelude to see the entrants in this year’s Mille Miglia.

Other 550s are on permanent display in museums such as the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and the Boston Museum of Fine Art, or if you are lucky, you could be invited to view an owners private collection. Each is an amazing rare experience to see a 550 in the flesh.
