550-0078 was completed on the 15th March 1956 and was kept by Porsche as a show car which appeared at the New York International Auto Show on April 28th.

The spyder was white with blue darts along its rear fenders, black interior and fitted with engine # P90085. There is no race history known to be linked with this car.
