Classic Days Schloss Dyck 2012
August 12th, 2012
In its seventh year, Classic Days Schloss in Jüchen, Germany, hosted a three day event with a concourse of every motoring marque. Set amongst the beautiful grounds of the castle, both spectators and participants dressed up in vintage costumes from years gone by, creating a similar atmosphere to the Goodwood event in the UK. The event allows the 27,000 strong crowd to stroll around the classic car and bike displays and experience some rare and unique cars not commonly seen.
There was the concours d’elegance near the castle with a collection of classic cars such as a Porsche 356 B Carrera GT, a Rometsch Beeskow and a Volkswagen Hebmuller. Across the way, local vintage car clubs had set up displays showcasing an eclectic mix of models.
On the track you could see some of the racing greats tear around the closed road circuit. With three Porsche 550 Spyders from State of Art Clothing, two ran the circuit along with a Porsche 718 Spyder once raced by Swedish driver Joakim Bonnier, while the white 550 was a permanent fixture upon the newly restored VW Transporter.
